The feisty little Froozle and his strange traveling companion, the Skink with the red braces

Impact Services specialises in advertising sales/design, publishing and IT Solutions. The company is jointly run by John & Heather Murphy. Heather has a passion for writing and this passion led her down
"The Stickleback Road".

Heather thoroughly enjoyed making up rhyming stories for her children when they were small – this was around thirty years ago. When her first grandchild was born earlier this year, she decided that it was time to do something with it! She got together with Brechin illustrator, Sheila Faichney, and turned her quirky tale into a book.

Heather said ‘My children loved the story of the Stickleback Road, and I had always hoped to do something with it. Sheila came up with some great sketches which were just what I wanted, and the book became a reality.’

The tale of the feisty little Froozle and his strange traveling companion, the Skink with the red braces, is an invitation to journey with them along the Stickleback Road from Kirrietumdevon to the City of Blitz. There’s a scary monster to watch out for, but all ends well, and the captivating illustrations bring to life the characters, animals and countryside.

The book is available in local shops, or order online at www.sticklebackroad.com. Local children’s organisations and other charities can also sell the book, and boost their funds with a share of the proceeds – contact info@sticklebackroad.com  or Tel: 01307 462223
